This past monday, a secretive robotics startup has raised $18 million as part of its quest to replace humans with robots in the kitchens of fast-food restaurants. Minimum wage advocates can ignore this development, but they shouldn’t. They may mean well, but never before has it been easier to replace increasingly costly wage earners with technology.

Right now, despite billions in increased healthcare spending, waiting lists are longer than the BC Federation of Labour can tolerate so that they now, despite their distate for capitalism, send their union members to the private Cambie Street Clinic. Voters Love Hearing It’s Going To Be Free

 

The compelling reason that politicians increasingly offer voters new “free” stuff each election cycle is because it works. Whether it was in Britains recent election, BC’s or Ontario’s every election cycle something else is offered to the public “free”. If this keeps up soon there won’t be anything left to make free and our future generations will just have to buckle down and try and pay for all our frivolity.
