Have you noticed the big cry from the proponents of Big Government & higher taxes is no longer the European Welfare State model anymore. Now its Norway!
Yes Norway. The Big Government, high tax country whose 5 million people enjoy the wealth that flows from being the Worlds 5th largest exporter of Oil & 2nd largest exporter of Gas. Oil & Gas that is produced in the North sea and is distributed by a vast complex of land based & undersea pipelines.
It’s hard to see being the next Norway since the same people that say lets be more like Norway would go nuts if we allowed offshore drilling in BC.
The kicker? Norway is also the 6th largest exporter of Military equipment. Not something our proponents of Big Government would tend to support in between stopping BC pipelines.
