So many candidates.  From Saudi Arabia’s election to the UN’s Women’s Rights Council, which UN Watch, said  “is like making an arsonist into the town fire chief” TO the 34 year old Williams Lake man who in the midst of raging and tragic wildfires thought it was a good idea to let off fireworks. But our winner of goofy of the year has them both beat.

Economics is the study of incentives. Changes in prices changes incentives with in turn changes behavior. Most of us understand that the reason everyone shops on Boxing Day is that everything is on sale. Pity our Governments can’t understand the value of incentives.
