Economic Stability & Upsetting The Masses

 

Canadians casual attitude towards Government borrowing and spending revealed in the fall update, especially when growth is over 3%. It begs the question, what will the reaction be if growth fails, we get a recession and Government borrows and spends even more>

Unbalanced Budget and More Spending Coming

 

Bank of Canada says we have had 5 quarters of growth ringing in with 3.7% the last three quarters in a row., and budget deficit numbers coming in at less than 20 billion. An 18.4 billion year end deficit is 7 billion more than they last outlined in the Federal Budget. No roadmap yet for balancing the budget.

Small Business Work Ethic

 

There is no evidence that the initiative and work ethic that small businesses throughout the land exhibit is appreciated by Government. For one, with the increased CPP contributions, the self employed and small businesses pay double what Government employees or employees of major corporations pay. Then there’s property taxes in major cities!!!

The War Against Jobs

 

So many politicians arguing for higher taxes,  more regulations, the opposition to Free Trade, the whole anti-resource push and the moves to cool the real estate markets are all job killers.

It’s ironic, but Donald Trump will do more for Alberta Premier Rachel Notley’s re-election than her fellow NDP Leaders Jagmeet Singh and John Horgan, BC’s Premier.
