Maybe Canada’s Not Back

The well respected international magazine, The Economist, is the latest to state that Canada’s reputation as a place to invest is taking a beating over the Kinder Morgan dispute. Capital investing is off 50% – and with it jobs and government revenue. Obviously, some don’t care.

No wonder 80 per cent of First Nations communities in proximity to the pipeline’s right-of-way support the Kinder Morgan Pipeline! The Canadian Oil industry has been pivotable in increasing the salaries of the middle class, lowered income inequality & increased Gov’t revenues, salaries & benefits.

The only valid reason to enact climate policy is to reduce Global emissions. Period. Instead Government blows 10’s of billions of your money without even a hope of reducing emissions by a tiny fraction.

Beware Taxpayer Investment in Kinder Morgan Pipeline

The Alberta and Federal Governments are discussing investing in the Trans Mountain Pipeline expansion, the problem being we can’t really afford more, er….investments like the Feds lost in Bombardier, or the 3.5 billion the Feds lost in GM & Chrysler in 2009 There is a better solution…
