They’re still pushing lowering the vote to 16 year olds. Apparently there are not enough ill informed voters to manipulate. A 16 year old can’t get tried in adult court because they are not yet deemed to have adult decision making capabilities. They won’t be able to buy marijuana because their brains aren’t fully developed – just like those proposing to let them vote.
As Al Gore’s chief climate change advisor James Hanson recently stated, the idea that renewable energy and batteries are going to provide all the energy we need is both fantastical and grotesque. In fact, perpetrating that myth will assure the dominance of fossil fuels for generations to come.
Big problem – Emerging nations like Turkey borrowed in US dollars and now their home currency is falling fast – that’s a major problem, not for Turkey, but for the banks and investors who lent them the money.

There is nothing progressive about doing the same thing over and over. When it comes to economics and finance, the government seems to push the same old idea’s hoping to get to a new result.
