I made a point of listening to at least six CBC newscasts on the weekend. They all featured the French protests that brought Paris to a standstill and could bring down the Macron government but not one of them mentioned the catalysts for the mass outcry – carbon taxes. The question is why?

The superficiality is amazing. The virtue signaling and the emotional immaturity breathtaking. But then again $50 million is a small price to pay to impress celebrities.
