Last Monday was supposed to be the start date for fining doctors who performed hip, knee or cataract surgeries in any of the 60 private clinics in BC. The government blinked and will now wait for the court decision on preventing any of the 85,000 people currently on wait lists from using their own money to end their suffering.

A Political Definition of Good Policy

Why do politicians endorse bad economic policy? A big reason is that the definition of a good policy, for politicians, is about getting votes and staying in power. The policy should be based on promoting the public good.
